CleanShot X is a screenshot tool for the Mac that also records video. The app is $35 once with one year of updates, then $19 a year if you want to keep updating. CleanShot Pro, for cloud sharing, is $10 a user a month billed annually.
Its updates stop after the first year unless you pay $19 a year. If demos are the main job, a recorder built around staging does more of the work for you.

FocuSee From $49.99/yr · $199.99 lifetime
FocuSee, from iMobie, sells the same idea on Mac and Windows: auto zoom that follows your clicks and typing, and cursor effects. The first plan is $49.99 a year for one computer, the next $79.99 a year for up to 3, and a lifetime licence is $199.99 for up to 5.
Its lifetime price is eight times Take's, and every other plan renews yearly.
ScreenFlow $199 one-time
ScreenFlow is a Mac recorder and editor from Telestream, at $199. You can try it with no time limit, but until you buy, every export is watermarked.
You place the zooms yourself in the timeline, and that is the work Take does for you.
