Crest and Take: macOS 14 or later, on Apple silicon and Intel. Minutes: macOS 26 or later on Apple silicon, because it uses the speech and language models inside macOS; summaries need Apple Intelligence turned on.

7 days each. Crest’s starts the first time you open Crest, with no account and no card. Take’s starts the first time you share or go live, and Minutes’ when you sign in inside it.

The Pro features pause until you buy Crest, but nothing is deleted. Now Playing, the file shelf, the clipboard and receiving files with Drop keep working, and your saved passwords, two-factor codes and notes stay readable, so you can copy or export them. A password you change is kept on that Mac and syncs once Pro is back. Pro cards that show live data, like weather, calendar or battery, show a Paused face that says what each one does, and one click shows how to unlock it. Editing notes and answering agent prompts in the notch come back the moment you buy.

No. Crest Pro, Take and Minutes are each paid once and stay yours on 2 Macs, and Crest Pro comes with updates through Crest 7. Only Drop + Cloud, the storage add-on, is paid monthly or yearly. Everything you bought before stays yours, and a subscription keeps renewing at the price you signed up for.
