A Dropbox alternative for Mac, encrypted before it uploads

Keep files from the notch. Get them back anywhere. Share them by link.

7 days free, no card. macOS 14 or later.

Who this is for

If you mostly use Dropbox to park files and send links from your Mac, you're paying for a sync folder you barely use. Crest Cloud does the parking and the links from the notch, and it encrypts names and contents on your Mac first, so our server sees only sizes and dates.

What comes with it

Every Cloud plan includes Crest Pro, which gives you Drop links to anyone and the Authenticator (your two-factor codes, typed in for you), plus Take and Minutes. If you already pay for Crest Pro, it moves into Cloud on the same subscription and you pay only the difference for the days left.

Questions4
Can I move my Dropbox files into Crest Cloud?

Yes. Drag them from Finder onto the notch, a file or a folder at a time, and Crest checks every part as it uploads.

Can you see my files?

No. Names and contents are encrypted on your Mac, so our server sees only sizes and dates.

What if I stop paying?

A monthly plan keeps working for 7 days, then stays read-only until day 30: you can get files back and download everything, but not keep new ones. On day 30 the files are deleted. We email you before each step.

What if Crest Cloud ever closes?

We'll email you 90 days before, and Download everything stays free and working until the last day.
